Artist Statement:

Growing up, one of the most important developmental stages is from the ages 3-5 because that is where our brains begin to question things. As I’ve observed others around me grow older and question less, I’ve realized I never truly outgrew this phase, and the essence of my works exemplify this.

My work aims to question the daily comforts and routines we become complacent with as we grow from children, to teens, to adults. Through analog and digital based sound, visuals and installations, I question comfort within myself and other people. I distort the status quo through eerie visual and sound island tech based installations that relate to the human body and the source of life which I’ve come to define as energy. I create new things from old by circuit bending and hacking outdated electronics, repurposing and redefining what the function of an object “should” be and giving it new life.

Growth can be uncomfortable, but just because something is uncomfortable doesn't mean it shouldn’t be questioned, explored, and redefined.
